Thoughts of Love, Hope and Purpose
When I was in Paris last summer, I passed several flower shops as I walked through the neighborhoods and city streets. They looked just like I'd pictured them from the movies. Gorgeous bouquets spilled out onto the sidewalk, handfuls of flowers in pretty buckets and lots of green plants in pots filled the shops. Men and women hurried in and out with flowers tucked under their arms. Flowers just make a girl's heart skip a beat if she's lucky enough to receive them, but if she's not, does it mean she's not worth remembering?

Valerie,
ReplyDeleteAs the Mom to two beautiful daughters such as yourself this post is very relevant. Maybe you can view yourself as "one of God's flowers" put on earth for all to see. God Bless You. Teresa
Teresa,
DeleteI love this -- viewing yourself as one of God's flowers! Thanks for the encouragement today!
You don't have to live in Paris to buy yourself flowers~ Just do it, as a reminder that you are beautiful and deserve to enjoy God's beautiful creations!
ReplyDeleteI am blessed with a boyfriend who buys me flowers for my birthday, Valentine's day and for no reason at all. But if I'm out and I see flowers I like sometimes I just buy them for myself. Sometimes I buy them for a neighbor who is having a rough time and could use a little TLC. Flowers nourish your soul, even when you buy them yourself...
I agree -- flowers are such beauty enhancers, wherever they are! Thanks for your kind words today!
DeleteWhat a wonderful thought! I love the idea of just buying flowers because they are beautiful!
Delete"Because I know it’s not the sender of the flowers that’s important. It’s remembering who brushed the petals with the vivid hues of a sunrise or the faint shades of twilight. It’s knowing that God wants me to live out the vibrant life he has envisioned for me, far beyond my doubts and fears. From the day he first thought of me. With special attention, never-ending love, and extraordinary plans. I like knowing that I’m always on his mind."
ReplyDeleteThis is exquisite! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
P.S. I buy myself flowers all the time! They make me happy!
Thanks for your kind words, Colleen! I agree that buying flowers for yourself is a lovely way to make a home a happy place! :)
